The Rooftop Is Open Again

The rooftop in Central is open again for the season.

From September through May, Hong Kong's evenings settle into exactly the kind of weather this space was designed for — warm enough to sit outdoors comfortably, cool enough that the air itself feels like part of the experience.

If you've been to a session here before, the rooftop will feel familiar. If this is your first time, here is what to expect and why the setting matters as much as anything else.

Why the Rooftop Only Runs Part of the Year

The rooftop isn't available year-round, and that's intentional rather than a limitation.

Hong Kong's summer humidity works against everything a session like this is trying to create — stillness, ease, a body that can settle rather than one that's fighting the heat. So from June through August, the same experience moves indoors to a private space in Central instead.

What that means practically: the rooftop season is something to look forward to rather than something you can book on autopilot. September's reopening marks the return of outdoor sessions until late spring.

"The instruments don't change. The setting does — and the setting changes everything."

What the Space Actually Is

This is a private rooftop — not a shared rooftop bar, not a public terrace, not a space you'll be sharing with another group's evening. When you book a session here, the rooftop is reserved only for you, your companion, or your private group.

The setting sits above Central's skyline, with the city's evening lights forming a natural backdrop rather than a distraction. Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, and gong are arranged for the session ahead of time, so there's nothing to set up and nothing to wait for once you arrive.

If the weather doesn't cooperate on a given evening, the session simply moves indoors — the rooftop is a setting, not a requirement, so a session is never cancelled on account of rain.

A Near Year of Rooftop Sessions

This reopening also marks something else: it's been close to a year since the rooftop experience first began welcoming clients in Central.

Over that time, the space has been featured in Time Out Hong Kong's list of the city's best date ideas — recognition that reflects what the rooftop was built for: an experience worth setting aside real time for, whether that's an evening with a partner, a close friend, or simply yourself.

What hasn't changed across that year is the format. Every rooftop session still opens with a short check-in, moves through breathwork and guided awareness practice, brings in Tibetan and crystal singing bowls and gong, and closes with a tea ritual before you head back down to the street below.

Solo, With Someone, or in a Small Group

The rooftop works for a range of ways to spend an evening:

None of these require prior meditation experience or familiarity with sound baths. Every session is guided from the first minute.
